George Barton Snider 
George Barton was born in 1858 in Vermilion Co., Illinois.1 George Barton's father was Thomas Snider and his mother was Mary Jane Davis. His paternal grandparents were Asa Barton Snider and Ann Uley. He had a brother and three sisters, named Elder Zephaniah, Caroline, Mary Margaret and Julia. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 56 in 1914 in Vermilion Co., Illinois. He was buried in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.1 1 General Notes
