Robert Compton Skaggs 
Robert Compton was born in 1855.1 Robert Compton's father was Moses Madison Skaggs and his mother was Winifred Salsman. His paternal grandfather was James Skaggs and his paternal grandmother is Nancy Mayse; his maternal grandfather was Moses Salsman and his maternal grandmother is Elizabeth Unknown. He had four brothers and three sisters, named James Moses, Isaac Thomas, Moses Andrew, William Riley, Priscille Jane, Sarah F. and Elizabeth. He was the youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 86 in 1941 in Fort Myers, Lee Co., Florida.1 General Notes
