Henry Ellison Skaggs 
Henry Ellison was born on March 28th, 1831 in Weakley Co., Tennessee.1 Henry Ellison's father was James Manon Skaggs and his mother was Mary Prucence Hollway. His paternal grandparents were Jacob Skaggs and Mary Gore. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Maston, James Manon,Jr., John, Sarah and Nancy Jane. He was the oldest of the six children. He had a half-brother and five half-sisters, named Mark F. Edward, Elizabeth, Ellen, Margaret, Martha and Matilda. He died at the age of 68 on May 8th, 1899 in Cooke Co., Texas.1 General Notes
