Matilda Jane Sawyers 
Matilda Jane was born on January 9th, 1829.1 Matilda Jane's father was James Henry Sawyers and her mother was Phoebe Warren. Her maternal grandparents were Jesse Warren and Rhoda Richards. She had twelve brothers and a sister, named William P., Thomas Jefferson, James Henry, Stithwood M., John L., Lemuel J., Andrew Jackson, Richard, Lewis Adam, Willis, Monroe, Jesse and Martha A.. She died at the age of 40 on September 18th, 1869.1 General Notes
