Elsie Basham, 81, of Leitchfield died March 15, 1998 at her residence.
The Edmonson County native was a homemaker. She was the daughter of the
late Barney and Minnie (Brooks) Reynolds and the wife of the late Shel

Basham. Funeral was Wednesday at Watkins Funeral Home with burial in B

Cemetery.
Survivors include ten sons, James Reynolds of Bowling Green, Oval Basham
of Louisville, Barnie Basham of Indiana, Homer Basham and Earl Basham, b

of Madisonville, Shelby Basham Jr. of Owensboro, John Basham and Charlie
Basham, both of Leitchfield, Sherman Basham and Claude Basham, both of
Clarkson; seven daughters, Vernis Knox of Arizona, Maxine Lashley of
Brownsville, Minnie Jane Adams of Louisville, Lottie Mudd of Elizabethto
wn ,
Linda Belvie, Lula Blair and Mary Nell Wright, all of Leitchfield; several
grandchildren; and several great Grandchildren; one sister Lorine Adams of
Hamilton, Ohio.
Elsa Mae and Shelby Thomas were married in a religious ceremony before 1936.1 They had six sons and two daughters, named Living, Living, Living, Living, Living, Living, Living and Living.
