Tillman Peurifoy 
Tillman was born about 1798 in Putnam County, Georgia.1 Tillman's father was William Peurifoy and his mother was Mary Brothers. His paternal grandparents were Thomas, Sr. Purifoy and UNKNOWN Sallie. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Archibald, McCarroll, Stanley, Piercy, Sidney B., Frances and Martha Davis. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died about 1872 in Edgefield County, South Carolina.1 General Notes
