Margaret's father was Benjamin Newton and her mother was Mary Ann Grigsby.  Her maternal grandparents were John Grigsby and Sarah Jane Prosser. She has a brother and two sisters, named Benjamin,Jr., Letitia and Mary.


Margaret's first family with John Travis

‌Margaret and John were married in a religious ceremony on June 22nd, 1722.1   They had a son named William.
