John James McAdams 
John James was born about 1843 in Marshall Co., Tennessee.1 John James' father was Alexander Davidson McAdams and his mother was Nancy A. Nelson. His paternal grandfather is John McAdams and his paternal grandmother was Elizabeth Henrietta Davison. He had four brothers and four sisters, named William Joseph, Isaac, Yancey (Yank), Alexander Lee, Mary Frances, Henrietta Virginia, Sarah J. and Emily D. (Emma). He was the oldest of the nine children. He died after 1860.1 General Notes
