Sherman Verdo Mays 
Sherman Verdo was born on March 22nd, 1909.1 Sherman Verdo's father was Jonathan McCager Mays and his mother was Nancy Leola Elizabeth Weeks. His maternal grandparents were James Perry Weeks and Josephine Louise Page. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Jackson Perry, Orbie Clays, Renon Boozer, Robert Aaron, Jonathan, Flora Lee and Ruby Louise. He died at the age of 52 on March 22nd, 1961. He was buried in Splunge, Monroe Co., Mississippi.1 1 General Notes
