Philip Smith Kellems

Philip Smith was born on April 7th, 1866 in Perry Co., Indiana.¹   Philip Smith's father was George Washington Kellems and his mother was Nancy Ann Alvey.  His paternal grandparents are Asa, Jr. Kellems and Catherine Unknown. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Henry S. B., John Robert, George Washington, Jr., Peter Valentine, Sarah Lucretia, Elizabeth Jane, Nancy Jane and Della.  He is the fifth oldest of the nine children.
