TRIBUTE OF RESPECT

Whereas it has pleased the Supreme Ruler of the Universe to call fr
om o ur midst our beloved and exemplary brother, Nelson B Hutchinson Sr
., who d eparted this life Nov 4, 1885, aged about 72 years, and as old a
nd respect ed citizen of the county; and whereas, we bow in humble submiss
ion to t he will of our Heavenly Father and part with our brother with de
ep regre t; therefore be it resolved; That in the death of Brother Hutchin
son our L odge has sustained a loss irreparable, but the Celestial Lodge a
bove has o nly gained one who we believe well fitted for membership ther
e, where t he Supreme Master reigns forever. Resolved; That a copy of the
se resoluti ons be spread on the minutes of our Lodge and a copy of the sa
me be furnis hed the deceased and that a copy of these resolutions be se
nt to the Clark sville Times and Standard for publication. Resolved; Th
at our Lodge be dr aped in mourning, and that the members wear the usual b
adge for 30 days.

N B Hutchinson, to whose memory the Grange pays a tribute of respec
t, w as an old and valued citizen, of most unexceptional deportment and pu
re li fe. The removal of every man is a serious loss to his neighborhoo
d, the S tate, and especially to the rising generation, to whose instructi
on the da ily conduct of such a man is a moral and social lesson.

Tribute of Respect
With sad hearts we are called upon to mourn the loss of our beloved Chap
la in, Brother N B Hutchinson, who died Nov 4, 1885, aged 72 year
s. As an hum ble tribute to his memory, we offer the following:
Resolved, 1st, That in the loss of Bro. Hutchinson, the Grange has lo
st o ne of its most devoted members, the Church a consistent Christian a
nd t he community one of its best citizens.
2nd, That we tender our kindest sympathies to the bereaved family and re
la tives of the deceased.
3rd, That this tribute of respect be published in the Clarksville Stan
da rd and Texas Farmer.
