Mary Tabitha Jane Hammond

Mary Tabitha Jane was born on December 3rd, 1809 in Madison, AL.¹   Mary Tabitha Jane's father was Eli Hammond and her mother was Mary Owen. She had a sister named Elizabeth Purnell.  She was the younger of the two children.  She died at the age of 30 on April 18th, 1840 in Madison, AL.  She was buried in Bouldin Hammon Cemetery, Morgan Co., Alabama.^1 1 

‌Mary Tabitha Jane and James Massey, Captain were married in a religious ceremony on October 26th, 1831 in Madison Co. , Alabama.¹   They had a son and a daughter, named Eli Hammond and Mary L. T..
