Walter Lafayette Hage was born on December 7th, 1915 in Goliad, Texas.1 Walter Lafayette Hage's father was Otto Henry Hage Franke and his mother was Alma Mattie Harryman. His paternal grandparents are Henry Otto Hage and Dorothea Wilhelmine Unknown; his maternal grandparents were Peter Demois Harrymann and Sarah Boone. He had two brothers and a sister, named Preston Houston Hage, Edward Otto Hage and Robbie Nell Hage. He was the second oldest of the four children.
