Jimmie May's father is James W. Evetts and her mother is Lela M. White.  Her paternal grandfather was Samuel Givens,Jr. Evetts and her paternal grandmother is Elizabeth Ann Brazzil. She has a brother and a sister, named Leon and Beulah.
