James E. DeWitt 
James E. was born on February 20th, 1878.1 James E.'s father was Richard DeWitt and his mother was Rachel Jane Sutton. His paternal grandparents are John B. DeWitt and Mary Spurling; his maternal grandfather is William Sutton and his maternal grandmother was Mary Lucretia Skaggs. He had four sisters named Lizzie B., Susan Emily, Mattie J. and Lou Birde. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Stephen Douglas and Molly. He died at the age of 65 on April 22nd, 1943.1 General Notes
