Stella B. was born on May 20th, 1901 in Green Co., Kentucky.1 Stella B.'s father was Robert DeSpain and her mother was Julia M. Warren. Her paternal grandfather was Joseph DeSpain and her paternal grandmother is Sarah Morrison; her maternal grandparents were John C. Warren and Celia Underwood. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Melvin Earl, Walter Howard, Carl, Gracy E., Bessie A., Anna and Ethel Omie. She had two half-sisters named Bessie and Stella.
