Milton Thomas DeSpain 
Milton Thomas was born on October 29th, 1841 in Green Co., Kentucky.1 Milton Thomas' father was John M. DeSpain and his mother was Mariah Perkins. His paternal grandparents were Peter DeSpain and Nancy Skaggs. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Silas, Newton, Mary Elizabeth and Belinda. He was the oldest of the five children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named William Marshall and Nancy. He died at the age of 81 on March 11th, 1923 in London, Des Moines Co., Iowa.1 General Notes
