John Cook

John was born about 1761 in York Co., Pensylvannia.¹ John's father is Captain Valentine Cook and his mother was Susanna Baughman. His paternal grandparents are John Hamilton Cook and Elizabeth Eaton; his maternal grandparents were Jacob Baughman and Margaretha Schwizigler. He had six brothers and a sister, named Adam, Rev. Jacob, David, William, Henry, Rev. Valentine and Christina. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He died in 1832 in Cooks Station, Lincoln Co., Kentucky.¹

‌John and Margaret were married in a religious ceremony on January 13th, 1787.¹
