Mary Matilda Brown 
Mary Matilda was born in 1898.1 Mary Matilda's father was Richard Johnson Brown and her mother was Frances Jane Grigsby. Her paternal grandparents are George Brown and Pulchera Smith; her maternal grandparents were Samuel Grigsby and Susannah Kite. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Samuel Grigsby, Robert Taylor, John Rufus, George Henry, William Richard, Julia May, Delia Walters and Lida Salome. She was the second youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 70 in 1968.1 General Notes
