Ralph Thomas Bouldin 
Ralph Thomas was born on February 3rd, 1907 in Lawn, Taylor Co., Texas.1 Ralph Thomas' father was William Hammond Bouldin and his mother is Rosa Lilliam Struwe. His paternal grandfather was Thomas Graves Bouldin and his paternal grandmother is Sallie Frances Woods. He had two brothers named William Struwe and Arthur Lee. He was the oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 47 on December 27th, 1954 in Houston, Harris Co., Texas.1 General Notes

Ralph Thomas attended Blinn College and after graduation began worki
ng f or Blue Bell Creameries as a salesman. He drove the first refrigerat
ed del ivery truck acquired by them. He was later engaged in the wholesa
le groce ry business in Brenham and La Grange. In 1942 he enlisted in t
he Navy a nd was soon in the South Pacific at war aboard the USS Alcyon
e. He was dis charged in 1945 at the conclustion of the war and return
ed to his previo us employment, as a very troubled victiom of the war a
nd its aftermat h. He became ill in 1952, due mainly to a habit of drinki
ng he had acquir ed after the war. He spent the next two years in and o
ut of the Naval Hosp ital in Houston until his death in 1954.
