Leota Beard 
Leota was born on May 13th, 1883 in Danville Township, Illionis.1 Leota's father was John Wesley Beard and her mother was Eliza Jane Stone. Her paternal grandparents were Edward Beard and Elizabeth Snider. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Henry Hudson, John Wesley,Jr., Maude, Carrie Leona and Nellie Leona. She was the second youngest of the six children. She died at the age of 79 on September 5th, 1962 in Greensburg, Decatur Co., Indiana. She was buried in South Park Cemetery, Greensburg Indiana.1 1 General Notes
