Ellis Ainsley was born on May 15th, 1885 in Redding, Shasta Co., California.1 Ellis Ainsley's father was Francis Alvia (Frank) Basham and his mother was Nancy J. Sevedge. His paternal grandparents were Greene Berry Basham and Eliza Ann Conway. He had three brothers and a sister, named Roy Frank, James Calvin (Jim), Russell Kenton and Elberta H..
