Selma Ruth was born on September 28th, 1915 in South Dakota.1 Selma Ruth's father was George Edward Basham and her mother was Celia Rognstad. Her paternal grandparents were Benjamin George Basham and Sarah Nevada Wright. She had three brothers named Lester George, Sydney Robert and Marvin Edward.
