William,Jr.'s father was William Asher and his mother is Anna Barlett.  His paternal grandparents are John Asher and Nellie Unknown. He had two brothers and a sister, named John, Batlett and Charlotte. He has five half-brothers named Charles, James, Jeremiah, John A. and Joseph.
