Mahala Alvey

Mahala was born about 1849.¹   Mahala's father was Aaron Alvey and her mother was Julia Ann Stevens.  Her paternal grandfather was John Baptist, Sr. Alvey and her paternal grandmother is Mary Lake. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Joseph Benedict, John Henry, George Thomas, Elizabeth, Mary Ann and Helen.  She is the second youngest of the seven children.
