Elizabeth was born on July 6th, 1332 in Carrickfergus Castle, Antrim, Ireland.1 Elizabeth's father was William de Burgh and her mother was Maud Plantagenet. Her paternal grandparents were John de Burgh and Elizabeth de Clare; her maternal grandparents were Henry Plantagenet and Maude de Chaworth. She was an only child. She died at the age of 31 on December 10th, 1363 in Dublin, Leinster, Ireland. She was buried in Priory, Clare, Co Suffolk, England.1 1 General Notes
