William R. Vaughn

William R. was born on September 1st, 1840 in Patrick County, Virginia.¹ William R.'s father was THOMAS J. Vaughn and his mother was TABITHA Martin. His paternal grandfather was RICHARD VAUGHN; his maternal grandparents were MOSES MARTIN and Adelphia. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Creed, Elem E., Thomas J., Hardin J., Greenville B., Euel Crawford, Mary Jane, Elizabeth Ann, LAVINIA E, Louise and Martha D.. He was the sixth oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 22 on October 26th, 1862.¹
