James Israel Standifer 
James Israel was born on September 10th, 1779 in Henry Co., Virginia.1 James Israel's father was Israel Standifer and his mother was No. 14 Standifer. His maternal grandfather was STEPHEN Heard and his maternal grandmother is MARY Faulkner. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Jesse Thomas, Skelton, Abraham Heard, Standefer, Willliam Heard, Stephen, Samuel, Woodcock, Johnson and Susannah. He died at the age of 57 on August 20th, 1837 in home of Col. Joseph Byrd, Kingston, Roane Co., Tennessee.1 General Notes
