Michel was born on April 16th, 1722 in cote St Michel, Quebec, Canada.1 Michel's father was Samuel Papineau dit Montigny and his mother was Catherine Quevillon. His paternal grandparents were ? Papineau and Marie Delain; his maternal grandparents were ADRIEN Quevillon and JEANNE Suzanne \Hunault\ dit Deschamps. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Francois, Pierre, Jean Baptiste, Jean Louis, Joseph, Catherine Marie, Louise Marie and Marie. He had a half-sister named Van Katerine.1 -
