Former Roswell Resident Dies: Roswell Record 11-3-35 Fred Miller, a resident of Roswell fro m 1878 until yesterday at his home at Carlsbad at the age of 64, after a months illness.
He was a son of Jim Miller of Roswell, and in addition to his father is survived by five chil dred. Mrs. Gladys Nance, Azusa, Calif. Jim Miller of Los Angeles, Cal. Mrs. Ruth Wood of Wil mington, Cal. Mrs. Agnes Weaver of Santa Monica, Cal. and Edgar Miller of San Diegw, who wa s with his father at the time of his death. He is also survived by three brothers, Sherman M iller, Monty Miller and Walter Miller all of whom live away from here. Two half-brothers, Ja ffa and Prager Miller and by a half sister, Mrs. Grace Evans of Tulsa, Okla: and by a step-br other, Will Johnson of Roswell. Funeral services were held this morning at the Ballard Chape l with Rev. D.B. Titus officiating Music was provided by Mrs H>P> Saunders Jr. and Mrs. Oti s Brenneman. The pall bearers were Frank Strickland. H.B. Smyrl and S.P. Johnson Sr. and Herb ert Lowrey. Burial was at South Park cemetery in Roswell. Sherman (William T.) Miller was he re for the funeral.
