Baptized by Father Jean Emile Martin. Francois' birth was recorded as t he end of July 1825. Godparents: Laurent Normand & Gertrude Couvillon.
Francois and Rosalie were married in a religious ceremony on December 1st, 1846 in Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana.1

The 1860 Census shows this couple with 7 children at home. Value of the farm wa $5,500. They were living between Maximillien & Emelie Dupuis (Emel ie was Francois' sister), and Jean Marie & Cecilia Brouillette.

The 1870 Census shows this family living between the Widow Maxmillien Dupu is (Emelie Laborde), and Ovide & Ursule (Francois & Rosalie's daughter) L achenay. The last 8 children were at home. Value of the farm was $3,00 0. Living with them as a farm laborer was 17 year old Oscar Barré.
