Ida Isabel was born on August 2nd, 1878 in Mercer Co., West Virginia.1   Ida Isabel's father was Samuel Harrison Hager and her mother was Rebecca Armintia Winfrey.  Her paternal grandparents were Andrew Greenville Hager and Nancy Wimmer. She had eight brothers and five sisters, named Willis Isiah, Samuel Jordan, Edward Cassidy, Frank Columbus, Charles Audley, Henry Arthur, Daniel Brian, Herbert Clyde, Hager, Nancy Orina, Virgie Victoria, Rebecca Fay and Hattie Elsie.  She was the oldest of the fourteen children.  She died at the age of 69 on July 21st, 1948 in Princeton, Mercer Co., West Virginia.  She was buried in Sam Hager Cemetery, Princeton, West Virginia.1 1 


Ida Isabel's first family with James I. C. Saunders

‌Ida Isabel and James I. C. were married in a religious ceremony on March 7th, 1900 in Mercer Co,  West Virginia.1   They had three sons and four daughters, named Herbert Daniel, Hobert John, Audley, Clara Isabel, Hatti, Margaret and Blanch.
