Phillippe Felix Duplechin 
Phillippe Felix was born in 1727 in Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana.1 Phillippe Felix's father was Jean Joseph Duplechin. He was an only child. He died at the age of 45 in 1772 in Opelousas, Louisiana. He was buried about 1775 in Jos. Rabelais named tutor for minors.1 1 General Notes

Phillippe Duplechin of Pointe Coupee was son of Jean Joseph Duplechin (native of France) who died in Pointe Coupee in January 1746.
Jean Baptiste Rabalais was his tutor (father of Joseph). Phillippe and Joseph married sisters Reine and Anne Barbe Boftz.
Two of Phillippe and Reine's children Jean Baptiste and Antoine were in Avoyelles during colonial period, Jean Baptiste went to Opelousas about 1795- Antoine married at AVoyelles- Aug 22 1790 MArie Louise Joffrion (d/o Joseph and Marie Jeanne Rabalais) After Reine Boftz' death, at P.C. Nov 25 1772, Phillippe married Marie Phillipaux wid. Jacques L'Arche. Son Phillippe II was baptized at P.C. in Sept 1775. Phillippe I was deceased, Joseph became tutor for minor children.
Phillippe Felix and Reine were married in a religious ceremony on April 18th, 1752 in Opelousas, Louisiana.1 They had two sons named Phillippe and Antoine.
