Louis James was born about 1785 in New Orleans.1 Louis James' father was Prosper Casimir Barbin and his mother was Helene Modeste Guinault. His paternal grandparents were Nicolas Godefroy Barbin and Helena Voisin; his maternal grandparents were Jacques Guinault and Helene Modeste. He was an only child. He died in 1831.1 -
