Cynthia Ball 
Cynthia was born on March 22nd, 1851 in Wayne Co., Virginia.1 Cynthia's father was James E. Ball and her mother was Virginia Caroline Walker. Her maternal grandparents were Charles C. Walker and Sarah Callaway. She had seven brothers and four sisters, named Jiles Henry, LaFayette, Jimerson, Stanford, William Harrison, Charles Walker, Albert Edward, Frances Ann, Jane Elizabeth, Virginia Caroline and Cassa. According to Robert Wacaser, Cynthia's daughter Florence claimed that Cynthia liked to read and named her children after characters in novels that impresssed her. The 1920 census shows her living at 5149 Oakland in Los Angeles with her daughter Marian and son-in-law Byron B. REYNOLDS. She is buried near Marilyn Monroe in Los Angeles.
