Mary was born in 1198.1 Mary's father was Philip Augustus "II" Capet and her mother was Agnes de Meranie. Her paternal grandparents were Louis "VII" Capet and Adele de Blois. She had a brother named Philip Augustus. She was the older of the two children. She had a half-brother named Louis Augustus "VIII". She died at the age of 25 on August 15th, 1223.1 General Notes
