sided wit h theBaron s in 1264, his lands bein g grant ed to John de Ha
versham. It i s not certain wh e ther they had been r e stored i n 1272,

A word about the name "St. Ph i lbert" .  I find numerous ref e rences to
th e
name "S t. Philibert" and " St . Phi lbert".  A s far as I can de termine
t he y
are two different spelling s f or the same fami ly.  I find the sa mepe
opl e
spelled wi th ei ther spel ling. Even th e ori ginal saint (died 684)
that
th e family is presumed to b e na med after, I find spelled bot h
