Cornelius Pius FREDERICK
Death with startling suddenness removed from the West End one of its best known young men when Cornelius Pius FREDERICK, aged 29 years, passed away at the famiy home, No. 389 Fourth Street, Saturday night at 10:30.
Seized with a suddent attack Thursday afternoon, Mr. FREDERICK upon the advise of a physician, took to his bed. He was given a hypodermic injection and never rallied from the anaesthetic, remaining in a comatose state all day Friday and Saturday and sleeping away while his parents sat at his bedside. Yellow jaundice and complications caused the young man's untimely end.
Neil, as he was more familiarly known to his friends, was born and reared in Portsmouth, the son of George C. FREDERICK, well known city pumping station watchman. He attended St. Mary's parochial school and then followed the occupation of a shoeworker, both as a turn laster and machine operator at the Selby shoe factory for many years. He was until recently a member of the Don't Worry Club. Besides his grief-stricken parents he is survived by an only sister and brother, Mrs. Daniel H. DODGE and William FREDERICK.
The funeral will take place from St. Mary's church Tuesday morning at 8:30. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery.
