Mrs. Belle H. MACKOY
Mrs. Belle HILL MACKOY, 80, died at her residence in Wheelersburg at 3:10 a.m. Wednesday, after a three-year illness.
She was the widow of Myrt E. MACKOY, who was a flour mill owner in Wheelersburg and who preceded her in death Dec. 3, 1933.
Mrs. MACKOY was a daughter of John Milton and Harriet MICKEL HILL, born Oct. 24, 1870, in Greenup County, Ky. Mrs. and Mrs. MACKOY moved to Wheelersburg in October, 1902, and lived there the remainder of their lives.
Surviving are three daughters, mrs. Harriet BRIGHTWELL and Mrs. Helen CRAYCRAFT of Wheelersburg and Mrs. Marporie RANSHOUS of Columbus; one son, James C. MACKOY of Orlando, Fla., 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and one brother, Lewis HILL of Haverhill.
Mrs. MACKOY was a member of the Wheelersburg Methodist CHurch, and of the Ladies Bible Class. She was a charter member of the church's Woman's Society of Christian Temperance Union and Wheelersburg Garden Club.
Her principal interest was the mission work of her church and she served in various offices of both the Foreign and the Home Missionary Societies.
The body will be taken to the residence tonight, and funeral services will be conducted there at 10 a.m. Friday by Rev. L. C. RUCKER. Burial will be in Wheelersburg Cemetery under the direction of McCurdy Funeral Home.
