Violet L. KIRBY, 87, of Hill View Retirement Center, died Saturday July 5, 1997, at Southern Ohio Medical Center.
Born Jan. 26, 1910, in Ironton, a daughter of the late Frank Albert HAFLEY and Bessie JONES HAFLEY, she was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Preceded in death by her husband, John W. Kirby Jr. and Martha Bending KIRBY of Portsmouth; and several nephews and nieces.
Services will beheld at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, at St. Mary's Church, with the Rev. Mark Ghiloni officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 7, at F.C. Daehler Mortuary in Portsmouth, where a rosary service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Monday.
