Harold CURNUTTE, 79, war veteran
Harold E. CURNUTTE, 79, of Portsmouth, died Sunday Dec. 18, 1994, at home.
Born Feb. 5, 1915, in Portsmouth, son of the late William and Helen CROTHER CURNUTTE, he was retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation, a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War, member of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, the james Dicky Post American Legion and the United Commercial Travelers.
He is survived by his wife, Regina SCHWANBERGER CURNUTTE of Minford; a daughter, Carol Martin of Franklin Furnace; a brother, Donald CURNUTTE of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Roberta TOMLIN of Costa Masa, Calif., and Mary Sue KORTE of Nori, Mich.; a grandchild; and two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Portsmouth, with the Rev. David FUNK officiating, and interment in St. Peter's Cemetery in Wheelersburg, with military graveside rites by James Dickey Post.
Freinds may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Melcher Funeral Home, where recitation of the rosary will be at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
