John D. was born on February 6th, 1877 in , Greenup, Kentucky, USA.1 John D.'s father was Reuben CRAYCRAFT and his mother was Barbara Ann GREENSLATE. He had five brothers and four sisters, named James, William G., Charles R., Benjamin W., Garfield Harrison, Susan Jane, Sarah E., Barbara Ann and Mary Ella. He was the fourth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 78 on January 24th, 1956 in Portsmouth, Scioto, Ohio, USA.1 General Notes
