William Young 
William was born in 1843 in Kanawha Co., VA. William's father was Mathias Gayhart I Young and his mother was Maria Tate. His paternal grandparents were George II Young and Catherine Shimer; his maternal grandparents were Joshua Tate and Susanna Hinecker. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Mathias Geyhart II, Andrew Jackson, Phoebe and Sarah Susan. He was the youngest of the five children. He had ten half-brothers and four half-sisters, named John Hickman, George, Hugh Peter, William Robert, Robert Basial, Charles, Jacob, Lewis, Thompson Mathias, Henry Lanis, Rosella, Elizabeth, Margaret J. and Mary Ann. He died at the age of 71 in 1914.-
