Ann Rebecca Young

Ann Rebecca was born in 1789 in Staunton, Augusta Co., Va.. Ann Rebecca's father was George II Young and her mother was Catherine Shimer. Her paternal grandparents were George I (Jung) Young and Rosina Hoffman; her maternal grandfather was Frederick Shimer and her maternal grandmother is Mary Magdalene Bach. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Mathias Gayhart I, John, Jacob, Mary and Sophy. She was the second oldest of the six children. She died at the age of 38 on September 21st, 1827 in Rainelle, Greenrier Co., Va..
