John Landis YOUNG 
John Landis was born on April 8th, 1795 in , Mercer, Ky. John Landis' father was Jacob YOUNG and his mother was Rachel GOODNIGHT. His paternal grandfather was John YOUNG and his paternal grandmother is Ann UNKNOWN; his maternal grandparents were John Hans Michael GOODNIGHT and Mary Landers. He had five brothers and seven sisters, named Male, Michael G., William Harrison, Solomon, Andrew Jackson, Mary Landis "Polly", Elizabeth (Betsy), Rachel Ann "Ann", Sarah (Sallie) Goodnight, Juliet, Female and Susan W. "Susie". He was the second oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 86 on January 15th, 1882 in Grand River, Decatur, Ia.General Notes
