In 1773 James Woods, wife Catherine and son Allen came to America. Through Philadelphia and on to Washington County, Pennsylvania. Around 1800 the family migrated South to Ohio, Kentucky and then back to Ohio. Milton's father, Allen founded the county seat of Brown County, Ohio, Georgetown. A lot of history. James and Catherine had 3 boys and 2 girls.
James and Catherine were married in a religious ceremony about 1760 in , , , Ireland. They had three sons and two daughters, named Allen, Samuel, Nathaniel, Sarah and Anne.
