Gatsy was born about 1797 in Of Edgecomb, , North Carolina.  Gatsy's father was John WILLIAMSON and her mother was Mrs Elizabeth WILLIAMSON. She has three sisters named Elizabeth, Elizabeth and Lueretia Or Luctrica.  She is the second oldest of the four children.

‌Gatsy and John were married in a religious ceremony in Nc.  They had two sons and a daughter, named William, John W. and Brittanna Elizabeth.
