Othniel was born on June 5th, 1676 in Portsmouth, Town Portsmouth, Newport County, Rhode Island. Othniel's father was John TRIPP and his mother was Susannah ANTHONY. His paternal grandparents were John TRIPP and Isabell MOSES; his maternal grandparents were Joseph ANTHONY and Susanna POTTER. He had four brothers and three sisters, named John, Benjamin, Lott, Lott, Susannah Anthony, Mary and Lot. He had seven half-brothers and seven half-sisters, named John, Peleg, Joseph, Abiel, James, Sylvanus, James, Daughter, Maryabeth, Elizabeth, Martha, Alice, Mary and Isabell. He died at the age of 64 on March 19th, 1741 in Newport, Town Of Newport, Newport County, Rhode Island. He was buried in Commonburialgr., Newport, Ri.General Notes
