Nicholas was born in 1515 in Of, Coughton Court, Warwickshire, England. Nicholas' father was George THROCKMORTON ;[Sir Knight] and his mother was Anna Catherine VAUX. His paternal grandparents were Robert THROCKMORTON and Katherine MARROW; his maternal grandparents were Nicholas VAUX and Elizabeth FITZHUGH. He had nine brothers and five sisters, named Robert, Keilemn, Deodatus, Clement, Mr., Thomas, John, Anthony, George, Elizabeth, Mary, Anne, Katherine and Margaret. He was the sixth oldest of the fifteen children. He died at the age of 55 on February 12th, 1570 in , London, Middlesex, England.
