Thomas was a small time planter. He had five known children. Itis assumed his wife Sarah was their mother although nothing has beendiscovered about her. Pamela Stone Eagleson has written a book called"In Search of an Ancestry, The Stone-Shearmire Family History" written in1984. I intent to enter more from her book as I get the time andambition. From the description given in the tax records it appears that theland grant for 152 acres given a Thomas Stone by Lord Pairfax on 25 July1743 referred to our Thomas. Because of this and other documents, logicleads us to the conclusion that the descendents we list are all ours. Butsince the Stone name is common and Thomas is also common in the county,we haven't proven just which Thomas is ours. At Least we got the nameright.
Welcome - I'm doing my best to make this accurate but there will be errors. I fix them as fast as I find them. If you see one, let me know. If you are related send me your GED. I will include it into my database or not, as you desire. With regards - Charlie
